The Hotel Cristall is a hotel of the first category situated near the Prater  (amusement park with the big Ferris wheel), Wiener Messegelände

 All 55 rooms (4 single rooms, 37 double rooms, 11 three-bed rooms with shower and bath, 
3 apartments with bath / WC, living-room with Kitchinett for 1 to 4 persons) supplies:

Minibar, radio, cable / Sateliten-TV, telephone with fax and internet connection.

Around the viennese Prater there used to be lots of guesthouses, where travellers could rest and replenish their strength.
One of these survived to this day and turned out to be a modern hotel, the Hotel Cristall.

During it´s remodeling, much attention was given to retain the beautiful arches.
The hotel is built around a rectangular icourtyard, in which guests can relax without being constantly reminded that they are right inside the city.
The rooms are stylish and elegant. Every room has got showere or bath, toilet, minibar, satelite tv, wireless internet and a hair dryer.
A varied buffet breakfast is serverd daily in our restaurant.
Feel free to use the internet-corner in our lobby, in case you want to travel without bringing along a computer, at no cost.
If you are travelling with a computer of other wireless (WiFi) device, you will be able to access the internet throughout almost all of the hotel.

Getting there

The Hotel Cristall is very easy to reach. If you use the excellent viennese public transportation,
Praterstern will be a great point of reference to you, as it is within a short walking distance from the hotel
(approx. 2 minutes walk), and it is one of the major transportation hubs of vienna.
The Metro (U-Bahn) lines U1 and U2, as well as the bus-lines 80A and 82A, and the tram-lines O und 5 stop there.
You will also be able to find most regional trains there (Schnellbahn).

By car

Arriving from the Autobahn (highway), always follow the signs reading "Prater" or" Zentrum".
When on th Schüttelstrasse, take a right into the Franzensbrückenstrasse, after approx.. 50 m you´ll be in front
of the Hotel Cristall (Franzensbrückenstrasse 9). The hotel has a private parking lot, right at the back of the premises.

By airplane

Either you the the Schnellbahn to "Praterstern/Wien Nord", from there it´s only about 200m of walking to the Hotel Cristall,

or the City Airport Train (CAT) to "Landstrasse/Wien Mitte". Arriving there, you can either walk 10 minutes,
or take the Strassenbahn (tram) O to "Franzensbrücke" (the stop is located about 50m from the Hotel).
Alternativly, you can also take the Linie S7(train) to Praterstern.

By train

From the train station Bahnhof Meidling: take the Schnellbahn (regional train) S9, it will bring you directly
to the Praterstern, which is a 2 minute walk from the Hotel Cristall.
From the train station Westbahnhof: take the U-Bahn (metro) lini U3 to Stephansplatz,
there, switch to U1 and get off at Praterstern. which again is only a two minute walk to the hotel.

 

 

 

 
Location

The hotel is centrally situated in the 2nd district of Vienna close to the Praterstern and approx. 15 minutes
(walking, less when taking the metro) from St. Stephens Place (Stephansplatz).

U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations are immediate vicinity.
The Prater is literally right in the backyard. It´s very appealing to nature lovers,
byciclists, joggers and, of course, a must see for all the theme-park.fans.

Furthermore, very good and fast to reachare the Vienna international fairgrounds (Messe Wien),
the Austria Center,
the UNO buildings and the Johann Strauss Museum.
