The wine-growing estate Chorherren Klosterneuburg.



The convent of margrave Leopold III. of Austria was founded in 1114 and also at that time was provided with spacious wine-growing estate property. Today, the Chorherren Klosterneuburg run vineyareds with a surface area of 103 hectares and count to the biggest and most significant vineyards of Austria. The four wine-growing estates Klosterneuburg, Kahlenbergerdorf/Vienna, Tattendorf and Gumpoldskirchen are situated in various cultivable areas. This circumstance enables a big variety not only of different kinds but also of different tastes. Furthermore, the convent presses from other famous austrian cultivable areas selected grapes to wine and champagne, process and store them in the four-storeyed cellar under the big convent facility. High quality spirits and liqueurs are made of riped and selected fruits from their own production.
