These words, which so aptly describe the start of tourism in Kaprun, appeared in a Viennese newspaper at the end of the 19th century.
The charm of the landscape of this broad valley, surrounded by the mighty, three thousand metre-high mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park, was always an attraction for visitors from many countries.
The Alpinists were followed at the start of the 20th century by visitors to the world-famous reservoirs of the “Glockner-Kaprun” power station and the opening of the Kitzsteinhorn in 1965 made the area perfect for tourists.
Our apartments have a wonderful view of the Kitzsteinhorn and are only a few minutes’ walk from the heart of the village (see map)
where you will find the Optimum Wellness and Fitness Centre, a market, restaurants, bars and cafes.
The Skibus bus stop is right in front of the house, providing a perfect link to the glacier.
